Our talented embroiders have been working on something new for us: a dalmatic, the vestment that the deacon wears, to match the green chasuble and stole that I wear in Ordinary Time, the weeks after Trinity. On Sunday we will bless this beautiful new addition to our treasured vestments. And it will be worn for the first time, too, because Revd Angela Schrimshaw will be serving as deacon on Sunday. Revd Schrimshaw is a retired priest, formerly a prison chaplain and associate priest at St Helen’s Welton, who’s been worshipping with us for some time. It’s wonderful to have her with us to join me and Fr James Hargreave as your priests.
with my prayers and blessings, Nicola
