Funerals

If someone you know and love has died, you can have a funeral at St Mary’s, or the Rector can take a funeral for you at a crematorium or by a graveside. We will be here to support you every step of the way.

Funeral at St Mary's
In Memory

Funerals are normally arranged through a Funeral Director, who will guide you through the process. You don’t have to be religious to have a funeral with St Mary’s – we are open to all.

If you choose a funeral with St Mary’s, we will meet you to listen to the story of the person you knew, and to go through all the details of the service.

“Thank you for the beautiful service you gave last week. Everyone has said how lovely it was, and how comforting your words were for them.”

From a letter after a recent funeral

Burying ashes

St Mary’s churchyard is open for burials of ashes only. Please get in touch if you would like to ask about having ashes placed in the churchyard.
