God’s blessing is the main attraction for many couples, whatever their beliefs.You can make amazing vows, or promises, in a church. You can only make vows this big in a church. These vows, made in public, will help you to stay together and grow together. God and your church are there for you to help you keep your vows.
Who can marry in church?
If you live in Cottingham you can get married at St Mary’s. If you don’t live here, but you were Christened here, or your parents or grandparents got married at St Mary’s, or you have attended services at St Mary’s for six months you can get married here. Contact us for further guidance.
What happens next?
Once you have registered your interest in getting married at St Mary’s we will contact you to arrange a meeting with the Rector, who will help you plan your wedding, and arrange for your Banns of Marriage to be read.
