The noticeboard outside the church gates has given many years of service, but time and the elements have taken their toll and it is now looking very much worse for wear. After looking at a number of different options, the PCC have voted to replace it with a custom-made aluminium noticeboard. This should be attractive and very visible. It’ll have the main service times, plus two glazed compartments for posters and flyers. The new noticeboard will cost a very little over £3,000 – this is the cheapest of the three quotations we’ve been given, and includes vandal proof film coating. We think this will make a big difference to the look of the front of the church, as well as enabling us to publicise our services and events.
On behalf of the PCC, I would like to ask you to make a contribution to our new noticeboard. The PCC will make up any shortfall, but even a small contribution will make a difference, and will be part of providing St Mary’s with a new and attractive public face. For the month of October the retiring collection after the service will be for the noticeboard. I hope you will be able to contribute.
